I have a test drive scheduled at noon tomorrow at my local Tesla Store. Also, the customer service representative that called to schedule my appointment was the nicest one I've ever spoken to in all my life, A+.

Really looking forward to experiencing dat torque!

My mom is actually interested in one but I scheduled a drive independent of her to drive one while I'm still in town visiting her.

I just sent a request via their site two days ago and received a call from their HQ in Palo Alto today to schedule the appointment. The lady asked me whether I was in the market for one or merely interested in learning more about the technology and I truthfully answered the latter and she told me no problem and went ahead and out me in for noon tomorrow.

That is their M.O. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to explain every detail of the car to people that aren't even potential buyers....

That was my experience.

Can't say I'm not jealous. there isn't a Tesla store within 1000 miles from me so the chances of driving a Tesla are limited to buying one.

My test drive was unplanned and spontaneous. I almost didn't write about it here, but after such a positive experience, I felt it was my duty...

I have a feeling my story might have made some waves @ Tesla, because one of their PR managers was looking at my LinkedIn profile a few days afterwards. That meant that they saw the article, poured through their test drive logs for that showroom for that day and then googled me... Heh...

Edmonton Alberta. closest store is in Seattle Washington about a 1000 miles away. they are opening a service center 2hours away in Calgary this year. can a person arrange a test drive thru a service center?
